Ongoing Full-Time opportunity. Location Parramatta with flexible (hybrid) working arrangements. Competitive Salary range from $89,707 - $98,982 plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the Department of education the Department of Education is the largest provider of public education in Australia with responsibility for delivering high-quality public education to two-thirds of the NSW student population.

About Professional and Ethical Standards Professional and Ethical Standards (PES) comprises of Employee Performance, Grievances & Staff Complaints, Child Protection and Misconduct, and Strategic Initiatives and Projects teams. The role of PES is to respond effectively to employee underperformance and misconduct matters by oversighting performance improvement programs for DoE employees and assisting DoE leaders to effectively manage underperformance and misconduct matters.

Undertaking all investigations of child protection allegations against employees including school employees and making the required reports to the NSW Ombudsman and the Office of the NSW Children’s Guardian; Undertaking other investigations of alleged corrupt conduct, financial and academic fraud, serious maladministration, substantial waste of public funds by DoE staff, and fraud by non-government organisations funded by the Department.

About the team within the Professional and Ethical Standards directorate lies the Employee Performance (EP) team. The focus of EP’s work is to support school leaders and workplace managers across the department to improve the quality of workplace practice and address employee underperformance.

About the role the Executive Project Support Officer plays crucial role in supporting senior executives and contributing to the smooth functioning of the department. By providing sophisticated executive-level support and administrative services, it will ensure successful execution of business operations and department objectives.

Your responsibilities will include managing Directors appointments, coordinating meetings, records, and budget compliance. Facilitating workflow coordination and effectively utilising technology for efficient administrative support. Handle correspondence and sensitive record with utmost integrity.

Manage deadlines through collaboration with stakeholders. Staying up to date with technology advancements and expertly leverage relevant software and tools in line with departmental policies.

Essential requirements of the role hold a valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education

Key knowledge and experience knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
