About the Centre for Education and Innovation Comprising academic and professional staff, the Centre for Education and Innovation is an integral link between ACU's directorates, schools, and faculties, providing a centralised support service for all learning and teaching processes and resources. The Centre's key priority is to enable high-quality student learning experiences by providing services and strategic direction in relation to: Learning experience design and learning technologies, student engagement and success, quality assurance and academic integrity, academic skills development in students and academic development; with emphasis on curriculum and professional learning.

About the role as the Executive Officer, you'll provide administrative support to enable the staff of the Centre for Education and Innovation (CEI) fulfil their responsibilities in designing, implementing and evaluating resources and services for improving teaching practices within the university. You will achieve this by supporting CEI committees and assist in the development of materials, resources, services and support packages for the CEI teaching related projects. You'll also provide high level administrative support to the Director and Manager CEI, to ensure the efficienct operation of the Directorate.

More specifically the role entails providing secretariat support to the Director, CEI including; diary management, travel bookings, meeting management and general administrative support. Supporting the national CEI team through financial processing (purchase orders, processing invoices, journal transfers) and ordering equipment.

Providing executive support to CEI committees, course review, course administration and administration of staff professional development. Supporting the Manager, CEI to review processes to create efficiencies within the office and contribute to continuous improvement. Maintaining records accurately, safely and, where required, confidentially. Supporting events managed by the CEI Office and project managing grants, citations and awards programs.

You will need to have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent education, training and/or relevant experience together with proven experience providing high level administrative support to senior management in a complex/national organisation. Demonstrated successful project management and reporting capability including the ability to analyse and/or interpret data.

Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to liaise, consult and negotiate effectively with a wide range of people within and beyond the University community, including key stakeholders. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure, deal with multiple and urgent priorities and meet deadlines.

Evidence of producing clear and concise written communication with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of programs, email packages and other database packages/applications.
