Aone Laser Pty Ltd is a one of the leading laser cutting businesses specialising in high precision CNC laser sheet metal cutting work. We operate from the industrial hub of Hallam. We serve wide-ranging businesses located Australia wide. In delivering high quality sheet metal engineering work, we deploy the latest and high-tech machineries along with our powerful design, modelling and programming software. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Engineering Technologist to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. The salary on offer is from AU$ 55,000 to AU$ 65,000. As an Engineering Technologist, you will perform the below duties but not limited to read, understand, interpret and explain complex engineering sketches, specifications or drawings or other technical information provided by our customers, prepare designs, drawings or sketches meeting our customers’ specifications by utilizing our powerful design, modelling and programming software, review engineering designs, drawings or sketches and other relevant information to identify cost drive items and quantities, record and document technical design, drawings or sketches or other relevant information, analyse engineering designs, drawings or sketches to assess the costing impact and assisting cost estimator to come up with more accurate cost estimates, provide technical support to other employees in the business and liaise with them regarding mechanical design, fabrication, testing, or documentation, ensure that the finished products meet and exceed our company’s and our customers’ expectations. Skills and experience bachelor degree in a mechanical or related discipline, minimum two years’ experience in a similar role in manufacturing environment, demonstrated experience to read, understand, interpret, and explain complex engineering design, drawings or specifications, demonstrated experience to prepare designs, drawings or sketches according to given technical specifications, ability to record and document technical information including drawings and designs, positive attitude, strong problem solving, mathematical calculation and analytical skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to details, customer focused mindset with strong stakeholders’ management and an ability to build effective internal and external relationships to achieve common business goal, ability to work in demanding and challenging work environment with minimal supervision, ability to prioritize and work effectively within a team as well as individual.
