Our Opportunity:

Join our dynamic team as an Emergency Response Team Coordinator based in Garden Island. Reporting to the ERT Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of Confined Space, Working at Heights, and Emergency Response activities.

This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, communicates confidently, and is committed to upholding safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage all Confined Space, Working at Heights, and emergency response activities across vessels.

Supervise and roster Emergency Response and Confined Space Rescue teams.

Ensure rescue equipment is inspected, compliant, and ready for use.

Prepare and process operational documentation, including PO’s, TCP’s, and project reports.

Liaise with managers to ensure staffing, equipment, and resources meet operational needs.

Attend production meetings and report on high-risk activities.

Conduct safety inspections, ship rounds, and audits of hot work and confined spaces.

Train Emergency Response personnel and coordinate joint exercises with external emergency services.

Respond to emergencies and first-aid incidents.

Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions.

Promote and uphold safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement practices.

How about you?

Previous Coordinator experience or similar.

Completed Team Leadership Certificate or willing to obtain.

Confined Space Rescue Qualifications

Vertical Rescue Qualifications

Trainer and assessor qualifications or willing to obtain

WHS Diploma or Cert IV or willing to obtain

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
