About the role

Service Stream’s Utilities division is seeking a qualified Electrician to join our Brisbane team on a full-time, permanent basis. The Electrician is responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on water and wastewater infrastructure, including electrical, control, and telemetry systems. The role also involves installation, commissioning, decommissioning, and augmentation of assets, as well as delivering minor works projects and supporting continuous operation of critical infrastructure through rostered participation.

Key responsibilities include fault finding, basic maintenance, and providing technical support to engineers and operational staff. The Electrician will work collaboratively across disciplines, foster strong relationships with apprentices and external stakeholders, and contribute to budget management and commercial decision-making. The role promotes a safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplace that supports reliability, efficiency, and positive community and environmental outcomes.

Skills and qualifications

Current Drivers Licence
Current QLD Electrical Licence
Experience in the Water industry of similar industry
Experience with plant and equipment associated with wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations. (Desirable)
National Licence to perform High Risk work (Desirable)
Practical and theoretical knowledge of SCADA
Capable of inspection, testing, adjustment and repairs of electrical equipment
Instrumentation & Control fault finding ability
Willingness to upskill and undertake additional training for ongoing development
