Gliderol Garage Doors is looking for a qualified and motivated Electrical Fitter to join our Melbourne team. This is a hands-on role maintaining and improving our automated manufacturing equipment and supporting our national operations. You’ll work in a modern production environment where your technical skills and initiative make a real impact.

About the role:

You’ll be responsible for electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring the reliability of our machinery and automation systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, flexibility, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities will include:

Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding across production equipment
Support PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
Assist with mechanical maintenance tasks when needed
Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and plant shutdown work
Ensure compliance with electrical standards and safe work practices
Complete accurate maintenance documentation and work orders
Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime

YOUR SKILLS

Unrestricted Electrical License
3–5 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong PLC fault-finding experience (Siemens and Allan Bradley systems)
Knowledge of AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008.1, and AS/ANZ 4024 standards
Sound mechanical aptitude and confidence working with complex systems
Current CPR and LVR certifications
Ability to work independently with a strong focus on safety
EWP, Forklift, or Confined Space tickets are a plus
A pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening will be required.
