The Opportunity

Downer’s Energy & Utilities team is seeking applications for an Electrical Apprenticeship. This apprenticeship offers a unique chance to build your electrical career while working on projects across the northern region of South Australia. You’ll be working under the guidance of qualified tradespeople and experienced site managers on a variety of high-voltage (HV) systems within substations. As part of your structured training, you’ll gain exposure to high-voltage systems as well as learn best-practice techniques for cable and plant installation, as well as equipment testing.

About You

Drivers Licence
Provide First Aid & CPR
Completed Year 10 or higher (Year 12 preferred) with Pass marks in Maths & English
Comfortable working outdoors and in technical environments like substations
Committed to working safely and responsibly in high-risk electrical areas
