Education Support Officer The Gemmological Association of Australia location NSW.

The Education Support Officer (ESO) provides a broad range of education, administrative and operational support to the GAA NSW management committee and teaching staff to meet the educational support needs of the NSW GAA, Board of Studies & Education (BOS&E), GEMEd Australia and the students.

Areas of responsibility include (but are not limited to) safety, health and wellbeing – ensure compliance with and promotion of all occupational health and safety policies and procedures. Proactively highlighting any potential hazards.

Business conduct, ethics and compliance – ensure implementation of policies and procedures consistent with the GAA NSW organisational values and vision. Student engagement and experience – create, build and sustain a culture of high performance in interactions with students to deliver an excellent student experience with GAA. Member engagement and experience – create, build and sustain a culture of high performance in interactions with members to deliver an excellent member experience with the GAA.

Course Management Federal – Coordinate with Federal on the administration of the Federal education courses. Course management NSW Short Courses. Coordinate the administration of the NSW short courses, promote them to members and new potential students.

ESO administration preparation and presentation of the ESO monthly report for the GAA NSW Committee. Class scheduling and exam oversight. Communications with students and responding to student enquiries. Communications with members. Other duties as required.
