Wakefield Hospital is a leading private hospital in Wellington, New Zealand providing extensive surgical and related medical services to specialists and their patients. Heart Centre Management based at Wakefield Hospital provides a Cardiac Centre of Excellence for patients in the Wellington region.

We are seeking a Registered Echocardiographer to join our team.  We will consider full time or part time applicants with flexible working hours. We are looking for a highly experienced and fully qualified Echocardiographer/Cardiac Sonographer to join our Echo Service at Wakefield Heart Centre.

The successful candidate will have a New Zealand recognised academic qualification. In addition, you will ideally hold a post-graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasonography (DMU) or Queensland University of Technology (QUT) qualification recognised and/or accredited by the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB) or the Australian Sonography Accreditation Registry (ASAR).

You also must be currently registered or be able to register with the New Zealand Clinical Physiologist Registration Board (CPRB). You will need at least 3 years of continuous clinical experience in the field of Echocardiography. Duties will include performing all required echocardiography tests safely, accurately and at a consistently high standard.

The successful applicant must have excellent communication skills, be self motivated and possess the ability to work well in a team environment. There is a requirement for flexibility to allow rostered duties between 0800hrs and 2000hrs.
