We are hiring for Mobile Speed Camera Operator positions throughout NSW today. This role allows you to play a part in creating safer roads for the community while also flexing your technical skills. The role of the Mobile Speed Camera Operator is designed to use a purpose-fitted mobile speed camera vehicle to transport and operate speed detection equipment while also helping the community and people feel safe on our NSW roads. Client details they are currently seeking Mobile Speed Camera Operators for Silverwater to assist in reducing speeding and road traffic accidents through Mobile Speed Camera Program and technology.

Our client currently has casual by-contract roles available, however, they are full-time by intent. That is to say that wherever possible you will be offered a roster of 38 hours per week. It is important to note that you must have full availability and be prepared to work across a 24/7 rotating roster.

Description your tasks will include set up a car vehicle in operation which includes inputting data in a computer system, phone, and tablet; Attention to detail and data accuracy is imperative. Set up and monitor mobile speed cameras in different locations, always being alert at all times.

Troubleshooting and taking necessary action to complete all compliance checks on equipment and location. Monitor and escalate any issues with the vehicle or equipment.

Working closely with the Network Operations Centre team at times while providing any incident response and coordination of the program. Having patience, resilience dealing with a challenging circumstances and general public when issues arise.

Safely lifting, loading, and unloading equipment to a vehicle and setting up the site for commencement of the program which includes taking measurements and entering data in a computer device.

Profile what you need for success. Ability to complete shift work 24/7 roster, 365 days a week (various early/late start and finish times). Ability to work 10-12-hour shifts including extended periods of sitting within a vehicle. Be confident working in isolation and on occasion in remote locations.

Ability to work confidently with technology. You must hold a full NSW C class Drivers Licence and provide evidence of a Safe Driver's history. Full Australian work rights and a satisfactory Australian Criminal History Check You must be of good character, trustworthy, and have a calm and professional nature. Physical ability to lift and carry up to 15kg sign and/or sandbags and carry it up to 10 metres.
