Dog Grooming and Daycare Attendant FurBaby location Perth.

An exciting opportunity has become available to join the FurBaby team. What we are looking for is someone/s who have a passion for dogs, extensive experience working with animals and who want stay working as an important member of the FurBaby Family. Grooming & daycare experience is a must. This locally & family owned businesses facilitates, an amazing state-of-the-art grooming salon and boutique dog daycare. FurBaby is a very unique, supportive and amazing working environment.

About us at FurBaby, we treat dogs as if they are our family. We want to set each dog up for success. Our priority is to enrich their brains to help keep them mentally satisfied. We teach dogs to read social cues and respect their canine friends. We work closely with our clients to create a calm, confident and fulfilled dog both inside and outside of daycare. Honest communication to our clients is one of our most important values.

The right candidate will have a minimum of 1 year experience working professionally with dogs. (Not just loving your own dog). Have proven expertise in grooming dogs. Have a wide understanding of canine behaviour. Have a desire to become an expert on dog behavior. Present a positive, hardworking and enthusiastic attitude. Willingness to get dirty, stand the entire shift, participate in extensive cleaning.

About the role constantly monitoring the welfare of dogs in your care. Grooming dogs independently. Supervising off leash play groups. Enhancing, training and providing enrichment to our dogs.

About you while working with dogs sounds like a lot of fun (and it is!) It is also a very demanding job both physically and mentally.

We are looking for someone who can work well as part of a team, who can work both with others and independently. Be mature with effective, open and honest communication skills. Have the ability to motivate and lead those around you while striving for continuous improvement within yourself and your peers. Be extremely quick on your feet and fast thinking, with the ability to multitask.

Ability to provide feedback to clients in a delicate manner while remaining honest and open. Be able to adapt to whatever the dogs throw at us and be creative with enrichments activities and programs. Open to feedback from your peers and open to learning.
