Want to join our hard-working, dog lovin' team. We're looking for a Day care Attendant to join our fun loving team. The role will be approximately 15-30hrs per week in our day care facility located at Two Wells. You must be able to work weekdays and weekends, anywhere between the hours of 630am -6pm. Your job is to exercise, engage and entertain the dogs, however constant vigilance is required to provide a safe and controlled environment.
This is a very serious role, therefore we only hire serious people. Experience preferred however if you don't have experience, but you have extremely high work ethics and have a superstar attitude, full training will be provided. We handle dogs who do not suit a regular indoor day care environment and offer pack rehabs in our training programs. You MUST be confident around large, boisterous dogs.
This is not just a love & cuddles position or simply just “hanging out” with dogs. This is a fast paced, high energy role in the outdoors and it requires an intelligent person with physical strength, fitness and the ability to keep up with the dogs. You MUST love working outdoors. As part of exercising the day care dogs, you’ll also be required to ride the ATV’s and the mountain bikes around the property.
Being an outdoors job, you must be happily prepared to work in all weather conditions including hot summer days, cold winter mornings and work in the rain. Our day care days are adjusted accordingly. You must hold an Australian drivers license. You must be a strong communicator (with Team Members, Clients and Management). Have an understanding of smart phones and basic computer usage – internet, emails, word etc.
You must be enthusiastic and self-motivated (you must be able to work autonomously, without constant instruction). You must have attention to detail & be extremely focused and the Ability to assess risk at every moment of the day. You must be able to work under pressure, problem solve and think on your feet. You will have Excellent Time Management Skills & be able to work within designated time frames. You must be Willing to clean up after the dogs ie picking up dog faeces on a daily basis to keep the facility clean. Occasionally cleaning up dog wee and vomit & other general cleaning duties are required.
