Job Description

As Director of Finance, you’ll be a key member of the Executive Committee and a strategic leader across the business. You’ll oversee all financial operations while supporting leaders to deliver exceptional guest experiences, balancing financial discipline with a genuine understanding of luxury service.

Lead all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, payroll, compliance, reporting, and auditing
Champion financial responsibility across the hotel, empowering leaders to manage costs wisely without compromising service or guest experience
Provide strategic commercial advice to the General Manager and Executive Team, driving sustainable growth and performance
Act as a true business partner—working with departments to find smart, creative solutions that elevate both guest satisfaction and financial outcomes
Oversee accurate and timely month-end and year-end reporting, ensuring full compliance with Accor standards
Lead, coach and develop the Finance team—building capability, engagement and future leadership within the department
Build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement, inspiring excellence through people
Partner with external stakeholders including owners and Accor corporate office

Qualifications

Proven experience as a senior finance leader within a hotel or hospitality organisation
CA/CPA qualified, with a deep understanding of hospitality finance and Australian regulations
A commercially savvy, solutions-focused approach with a sharp eye for detail
Strong people leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to mentor, empower and grow high-performing teams
A calm, approachable leadership style with a collaborative mindset and strong emotional intelligence
An ability to balance cost control with creativity and empathy—enabling teams to deliver on luxury standards without feeling restricted
Sound knowledge of hotel systems such as Sun, Opera, and WageEasy preferred
A passion for hospitality and a deep understanding of what makes a luxury guest experience truly exceptional
