Overview
Edith Cowan University’s (ECU) City Campus Program is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to redefine the future of higher education in Western Australia. Rising in the heart of Perth’s cultural and commercial centre, this world-class precinct for Creative Industries, Business, and Technology will connect students, academics, industry partners and the public through exceptional experiences and transformative education. The Creative Activation and Public Engagement (CAPE) Directorate enhances the value of this unique opportunity by driving and delivering a strategic approach to creative activations and broader public engagement for ECU.
The Opportunity
We’re seeking a Digital Experience Platforms Lead to join the team – a future-focused professional who thrives in equal parts strategy and action. As part of the CAPE Directorate and as a Lead, you will play a key role in shaping creative experiences for ECU. Your expertise will shape compelling digital experiences that will elevate ECU’s creative identity and captivate a diverse range of audiences, whilst also leading its delivery with practical execution.
You'll join a passionate team at a pivotal time, contributing to an environment where creativity, curiosity and connection are at the heart of everything we do.
This role requires both vision and rigour: from co-designing integrated and sustainable operating models that support teaching, learning, research and public engagement, to overseeing the establishment and optimisation of digital experience platforms that are as ambitious as they are intuitive.
Working across ECU and as part of CAPE within the Engagement Portfolio; you’ll engage with ECU’s eight Schools, the City Campus Project team, and creative and professional staff to ensure digital experiences are aligned with the University’s strategic goals and operational requirements.
About You
You are an experienced creative leader, with a proven track record of developing and delivering end-to-end innovative digital experiences. Your ability to lead specialist roles, leverage existing capability, manage multiple work packages and navigate diverse stakeholder environments (internal and external) will be essential to success in this role.
You will bring:
Proven experience leading and developing digital experience programs and operational delivery in complex environments, including sustainable business models.
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and implement content governance and workflows.
Proven ability to curate, commission and manage digital content programming.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, including with creative and commercial partners, with access to existing networks.
Deep understanding of digital infrastructure, scheduling tools, content development and delivery approaches and systems.
Excellent communication, collaboration and project leadership skills across diverse teams.
Your leadership, adaptability, and strategic focus will enable you to deliver meaningful outcomes that support ECU’s future direction and help bring our City Campus vision to life.
You embody personal attributes that align with the University’s core values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence, and Courage. Your commitment to these values is evident in your approach to work and interactions with colleagues, stakeholders, and leaders.
