As our Digital Capability Specialist you’ll play a key role in shaping how we use technology across the business. You’ll help keep our people and knowledge systems running seamlessly, lead AI readiness and pilot programs, and turn ideas into practical digital solutions that improve efficiency, insight, and the employee experience.

This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role where you’ll work across teams to embed digital thinking, uplift capability, and help bring ABB’s AI and digital strategy to life.

This is a 6 - Month Max Term Role.

Let’s talk about you

Review capability, and knowledge processes to identify opportunities for automation and improvement
Assist with AI initiatives, including pilot programs, testing, and readiness activities
Help develop requirements, standardisation, business cases for digital improvements, including basic ROI and benefit tracking
Support the adoption of AI and digital tools into everyday workflows in a practical and ethical way
Assist in maintaining and improving people and knowledge systems (e.g. Workday and knowledge platforms)
Work with IT and vendors to help resolve issues and support system updates
Contribute to improving employee digital experiences using feedback and user insights
Engage with stakeholders to understand pain points and support solution design
Support delivery of digital and AI-related projects from planning through to implementation
Support the configuration and improvement of systems and tools aligned to ABB’s people experience
Stay curious about emerging trends in AI, HR tech, and digital tools
Help build digital confidence and continuous improvement across the business
How will you support our "Why?"
Experience in a digital, HR systems, operations, or technology-related role
Exposure to HR systems, knowledge platforms, or enterprise tools (such as Workday, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Power BI, ServiceNow etc.)
A solid understanding of how the telco and tech sectors are using AI and automation to enhance customer and employee experience — particularly around digital service delivery, workforce optimisation, and data-driven decision making.
Interest in AI, automation, or digital transformation (experience is a bonus, not essential)
Experience working with or around HR, knowledge, or business systems in a fast-moving, customer-centric environments,
Familiarity with tools like Workday, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power BI, ServiceNow, or AI-enabled platforms (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc).
Any exposure to AI governance, digital transformation, or process automation projects will stand out.
Relevant certifications or learning in AI, data analytics, digital transformation, or Workday (e.g. Microsoft AI Fundamentals, Workday Pro, or Coursera/LinkedIn Learning in applied AI) will be viewed advantageously
Project Management skills
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn quickly
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate clearly
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
A proactive mindset with curiosity and a desire to improve how things work
