Job description working within the Press and Communications Department of the French Embassy in New Zealand, headed by the Press and Communications Counsellor, the Deputy Press and Communications Attaché is responsible for assisting the Press and Communications Attaché in her various tasks : coordinating relations with the New Zealand media, ensuring media monitoring, and leading the Embassy's communications activities.

Communication creating and managing content for the Embassy's website and social networks (Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn). Assisting with coverage and communications for events organised or supported by the Embassy.

Assisting with the production of digital content (infographics, videos, and visuals). Drafting articles, speeches, presentations, and other written materials. Complete French - English courtesy translations.

Press and media support and expand the Embassy’s network of press contacts and stakeholders.  Management of a daily press review and maintain a current affairs watch. Assisting with the coordination of press events and the creation of written material for media.

Profile requirements native English speaker and proficiency in French (B2-C1 minimum). Must be a New Zealand citizen OR have permanent residency in New Zealand OR have a work visa (please note working holiday visas are not accepted).

Diploma (degree, certificate or other) in the field of communications. Experience in the field of communications and/or the press. Knowledge of the New Zealand political and media landscape. Proficiency in video editing software and web publishing. Expertise in social media management.

Monthly Salary: approx. 5 640 New Zealand dollars (gross salary). Working Conditions : 38h per week - 28 days paid vacation - Health insurance - Employer's pension contribution of 6%.
