Gemcell Electrical Group is a buying group representing the largest group of independent electrical wholesalers in Australia and New Zealand with international connections in Europe and the USA. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Data/Administration Assistant to join our small, friendly Head Office.

As a dedicated, tight-knit team every person at Gemcell is important to our success and helps to provide excellent service to our members and suppliers.  Reporting to the General Manager and working alongside our Accounts & Administration Assistant, you will provide support essential to the effective management of the group and must be able to work well within a small office environment. You will have the support of your colleagues and in return you will also be expected to pitch in and assist other staff members from time to time during busy periods.

Finding the right person, who can work effectively within our existing team is just as important as ticking the boxes for skills. This position may develop over time based on our needs and your ability. Part time hours or a job share may be considered and working hours are flexible.

Your day to day work will be varied and will include tracking incoming monthly data reports against due dates, ensuring the reports are received on time. Reviewing the data in Excel and processing within our rebate management software. Verifying and reconciling final reports and dealing with any queries within deadlines. Uploading files to our interactive website portal.

Maintaining our mailout database for our nationally distributed magazine. Maintaining our office database. Helping with general administration including answering the phone, mail, office supplies, filing. Various ad hoc duties.

To be considered for this opportunity you must have some experience in a similar position.

Be comfortable working with large amounts of data. Attention to deal is a must. Be confident using Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Have a professional attitude and excellent interpersonal skills. Be happy to work in a small office environment. Be able to work with minimal supervision but take instruction when necessary. Have good spelling and grammar. Be efficient and adaptable. Only Australian permanent residents or citizens will be considered.
