Customer Services Manager KiwiRail location Wellington.

Your role taking tourism and customer service to new heights, means every day is different on-board our ships. The Customer Service Manager is responsible for ensuring a first-class service is provided to all our passengers at every part of their journey. To achieve this, you will develop and lead your large on-board crew of 40-60 and run an efficient service for our customers.

You will also set your teams goals to deliver to customers and key stakeholders. Assist the Customer Service Delivery Manager to implement marketing and customer service initiatives. Continually develop Health and Safety initiatives to provide a safe workplace for our customers and team.

Implement and deliver exceptional customer service. Identify customer needs and expectations through measuring customer satisfaction. Manage costs effectively. Motivate and inspire a high performing team to respond to customer needs. Contribute to the strategic planning of staff and crewing requirements.

Your skills as an experienced people Manager you will show resilience, flexibility and a hands-on, can-do attitude. You will also Be dedicated to creating a successful and collaborative team. Previous exposure to working in busy environment such as such as hotel chains, resorts, tourism/transport operations or hospitality would be an advantage. Possess outstanding people skills.

Have the ability to build and maintain key relationships with different stakeholders. Relevant experience with working within and creating budgets. In this position you will be required to work on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster, working a 12-hour rotating shift (both day and night shifts). You will also be required to live on-board the ship during your rostered days on.
