About us NSW Department of Communities and Justice is the largest Child Protection agency in NSW. We deliver vital programs and services designed to help vulnerable children, young people and their families. We are looking for Customer Service Officers to join our team.

About the opportunity south Western Sydney currently has one temporary full time opportunity in Liverpool for up to 12 months. Along with the available temporary position, a recruitment pool is being created to fill positions as they arise across South Western Sydney. The locations where these opportunities may arise are Bankstown, Fairfield, Liverpool, Ingleburn and Macarthur.

About the role the primary purpose of this role is to provide front line services to the community from a local office (Community Service Centre or “CSC”). The role involves a range of client and administrative services that contribute to the effective delivery of quality services in a CSC.

Customer Service Officers support the service delivery of the unit’s administrative functions which include financial support (processing payments such as petty cash in compliance with relevant policies. Customer Service Officers support casework teams with various administrative tasks that are sensitive in nature including taking detailed discussion notes in group supervision sessions. You will also provide frontline client support via reception and switchboard operation.

About you in this role you will support the service delivery of the unit’s administrative functions and provide high quality service to our clients both in person and over the phone. You will have a strong customer service background, attention to detail and a high level of organisational skills. A Recruitment Pool will be created to fill similar roles for both ongoing and temporary opportunities if and as they arise.

What we can offer you Clerk/Grade ½. Salary range $64,973 pa - $70,636 pa plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. 4 weeks annual leave per year of service. Essential requirements the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 requires persons engaged in children related work to have Working with Children clearances.
