Join our Customer Service Team. More than a job, this is your chance to make a difference in a rewarding role at Australia’s biggest, busiest not-for-profit animal hospital, helping over 20,000 animals every year.

More than a job it’s an opportunity to serve the health and well-being of animals and the people who care about them. You will balance calls and appointments, build rapport and trust, manage expectations, find solutions, deliver peace of mind and make a difference. Because every animal and every customer matter, every day.

Tell us about yourself tell us about the types of customers you’ve worked with, the calls, the interactions, the challenges you’ve faced, the rewards you’ve gained and tell us what motivates you to get out of bed in the morning.

About the job as a Customer Service Officer your work will support the hospital through coordinating customer appointments, accident & emergency admissions and processing customer payments. You’ll identify customer needs, listen to their concerns and seek understanding, reassure them about their pet’s care, hear them out with their objections, build rapport through compassion and deliver solutions

Ensure appointments are booked and managed successfully, maintain accurate customer records and provide information about necessary veterinary requirements prior to appointment. Undertake reception duties and handle calls in a timely and courteous manner. Process and receive payments, reconcile banking and follow guidelines for determining appropriate payment. Communicate with respect, clarity, positivity and extend hospitality to all. Provide assistance and encouragement to your team members and share your know-how.

About us we’re a hospital, vet clinic and adoption centre located in North Melbourne and Campbellfield; founded 85 years ago, when a determined woman called Louisa Lort Smith opened a veterinary clinic where all were welcome. Her far-reaching ideas for the common good, live on today in the spirit of welcome for all. The belief that it's worthwhile helping thousands of animals and people-it's still here. And you can be part of it.

You’ll enjoy rewarding work that provides community-based veterinary and animal welfare services to all. Flexible and varied roster hours. Wellbeing support and in-house chaplaincy. NFP salary sacrificing & leave loading. A diverse workplace. Pet friendly policies (of course). Discounted veterinary treatment, products and pet insurance; and an exciting job where you'll never get bored.
