What is the role The Customer Service Officer is a frontline role which is vital to our business. IR does so much more than just collect taxes - we actually fund and deliver programmes which support and care for the people of New Zealand. What's more, a career with us does not necessarily mean a career in numbers and taxes - you'll be bringing your customer centric approach to improve customer experience.

Day to day in this role, you'll be the first port of call for our broad group of customers, from individual to businesses, responding to a range of interactions including emails and calls. You'll be supporting our customers to ensure they meet their obligations to get it right from the start by providing assistance and encouraging them to file and pay on time.

Digital savviness (we'll teach you the ins and outs of our unique tools). Comfortable with numbers. Curiosity for the inner workings of businesses. Customer centric mindset.
