Description

The Service and Improvement Directorate is currently seeking a dedicated Customer Service Coordinator to become an integral part of our dynamic Ko Awatea Centre team located at the Ko Awatea Centre on the Middlemore Hospital site open 7.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. We’re looking for someone who has outstanding customer service skills, great administrative and AV/ICT skills, and a strong commitment to teamwork to enhance our dynamic team.

Reporting to the Group Manager Business Commercial, with daily activities directed by the Centre Manager, this position is key in ensuring the smooth operations of the Centre, requiring the highest level of customer service in all interactions.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday with fortnightly rotation of starting hours between 8.00am to 4.30pm or 9.00am to 5.30pm with the occasional requirement to complete the Center openings (7.30am) when staff cover is required. The position is based at Middlemore Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with the Ko Awatea Centre Manager to facilitate the daily operations of the center.
Deliver excellent customer service to staff, students, and visitors to ensure an experience that surpasses expectations.
Provide technical support for AV/ICT equipment, ensuring that presentations, workshops, and events run smoothly.
Manage and coordinate room bookings, optimizing space utilization and scheduling efficiency.
Act as a point of contact for general inquiries, promptly responding to and resolving user questions and concerns.
Display sensitivity to the spiritual beliefs and cultural practices of center users and visitors.
Foster a positive environment within the Centre, contributing effectively to this education, innovation, and collaboration space.
You will have excellent communication and relationship building skills and the ability to prioritise and multi-task. Your exceptional computer skills, attention to detail and your high level of initiative with previous customer service experience are essential. Your energy, passion and communication skills will be inspiring and infectious.

Dependent on skills and experience the salary is in line with the PSA Clerical and Administrative staff collective agreement.
