Our opportunity at Sydney Trains we're continuously working to the future. This means we're on the lookout for energetic and self-motivated Part-Time Customer Service Attendants who will join us on our journey to be ambassadors for Sydney Trains.
Our Sydney Trains network operates between Berowra to Richmond, Emu Plains, Macarthur and Waterfall. You'll be part of one of Australia's largest operational service delivery teams at Sydney Trains and have amazing one of a kind opportunities to gain valuable hands-on experience in learning, practicing, and understanding the daily operations of our stations while working with a fun, energetic and committed team.
As a Part-Time Customer Service Attendant, you'll become a valued member of our Sydney Trains family. Exceptional customer service and safety will be at the centre of your priorities, ensuring you're always on the lookout for customers who might require a little extra assistance to help them safely on their journey or a smile to brighten their day.
In addition, this role will see you take on responsibilities such as (not limited to) flagging trains, using high-tech equipment, ticketing enquiries, connecting with train crew as well as various cleaning tasks to ensure the station is always at its best.
About you we're looking for Part-Time Customer Service Attendants with an amazing and fun attitude. You will be committed to working off a rostered shift environment and want to be part of an organisation focused on making positive changes in the community and the everyday lives of our customers.
If you are self-driven, can work autonomously with initiative, have a strong work ethic, driven to provide memorable moments for our customers and love to have fun, then we want to hear from you. You will be assessed on your understanding of the role in your application.
Salary & benefits the salary for this position is $1,152.75 per week (pro rata) plus superannuation and leave loading. We currently have Permanent Part-Time positions available working a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight. You must be available and willing to work rotating shifts including shift work, late nights, early mornings, weekends and public holidays. Extended hours may be necessary at short notice. Please note: successful candidates will need to undertake background checks and criminal record checks. Own transport is beneficial as some shift start times are out of train operating hours.
For permanent positions in the NSW Public Sector, you need to be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident. For most Temporary jobs, you need a visa that gives you permission to work in Australia. To be considered for these roles you must be 18 years of age. Applicants will need to complete merit based selection activities and will be subject to satisfactory medical, drug & alcohol and criminal record checks as part of the selection process.
