Customer Service Assistant Concrete World Industries location Dubbo and Central NSW. Salary $25 - $29.99 per hour.

Due to the rapid expansion of the business we are seeking someone to assist with customer service and sales. The applicant will need to be experienced with computers in order to process quotes and sales orders using our inventory management system (Cin7). On the job training will be provided, however, an aptitude for computers is essential.

Desirable characteristics and experience someone with a trade based background or trade experience is beneficial due to familiarity with the products and the industry, however, this is not essential, Punctual. Exceptional people and communication skills (including verbal and written communication skills).

Eagerness to learn new skills and apply new knowledge to the business. Including gaining in depth knowledge of construction chemicals, repair mortars, grouts, waterproofing and epoxy floor coatings.

Key duties and responsibilities learn to use our inventory management (sales) system Cin7. On the job training will be provided. Initially (the first few months) the role will be general customer service of day to day customers with the view of expanding the candidates knowledge and skill set into tendering for projects that involve construction chemicals.

Use online resources such as YouTube and product data sheets to educate yourself about specialised topics such as mortar repair, waterproofing, joint sealing and grouts so that you can provide advice to our customers. General customer service tasks including answering the landline phone and serving customers that walk into the shop. This process is the fastest pathway to learning about our customers and our products. This is a customer service role.

Constantly seek information on current and upcoming local gov, commercial and mining projects. These could include but are not limited to; local government bridge upgrades, local gov sewerage treatment plant upgrades, railway projects, upgrades to schools and hospitals. Utilise Cordel reports to extract information about upcoming projects, make inquiries with the site foreman and estimators of large projects including site visits where possible.

Provide tenders / estimates to customers as necessary. In the initial stages of the job particularly (up to the first 6 months) your assistance will be required in the warehouse also. This may include assisting customers with loading their vehicles, assisting warehouse staff with steel processing (occasionally). The work at the back end of the business gives the sales staff a holistic comprehension of the business.

The crew is relatively small, we have a policy that we all assist each other in our areas in times of high demand. For this reason we seek staff who have a "can do" attitude, who are willing to participate in all facets of the business. You will quickly observe that most of our staff are multi skilled and no one is too important to get their hands dirty when needed.

Perform all set tasks with safety in mind. Driver's licence is essential, a forklift licence is beneficial but not essential. The hours are 7am - 4pm Monday to Friday. 30 minute lunch break. Saturday's are 8am - 11am on a rotational basis (approx. 2 Saturday's / month)
