Customer Service and Fulfilment Officer Readings location Melbourne. $25 – $28 per hour.

Readings is an independent retailer of books, music and more, and has long been at the centre of Melbourne’s local literary scene, with a busy e-commerce website and eight bricks and mortar shops operating in Melbourne. Readings was awarded Book Retailer of the Year at the 2021 Australian Book Industry Awards.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Online Customer Service and Fulfillment Officer to join our online fulfilment team working 4 days per week (approximately 30 hours), on a permanent basis. The Online Customer Service and Fulfillment Officer is responsible for all aspects of the web fulfilment process including the researching, ordering, processing and supplying of books, music, DVDs and related items ordered online, as well as receiving, picking, and packing of orders.

The ideal applicant will have demonstrated experience in the book, music or DVD industry, preferably gained from a retail environment involving bibliographic/product research, or experience in online fulfilment and logistics. Strong customer service skills. Excellent communication skills.

Excellent attention to detail & problem-solving skills. Collaborative team member. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage a varied workload. Ability to work under pressure and deadlines in a time-sensitive environment. A strong working knowledge of the Australian book industry (desirable). Ability to work across different software platforms. Experience with Circlesoft is beneficial (desirable). Experience with special orders or dispatch management systems would be an advantage.
