This is a job for an experienced customer service person who wants to focus on things that matter and to deliver a quality service to readers who really care about the product we provide.

Working in our new offices in Auckland CBD you will be a motivated individual with a customer service or customer facing background. You will be the first person our customers speak to, so your ability to clearly articulate our value proposition, sustain and renew client subscriptions, process payments, resolve customer issues and effectively manage your time will be the key to succeeding in this varied and important role. 

Duties and responsibilities Customer Services professionally process inbound customer service calls. Resolving online subscriber issues. Record and verify accurate information for all customer contact. Process credit card payments. Sustain a high level of punctuality and attention to detail.

Uphold company and client confidentiality. Multi-task from adjusting from one call or email to another without loss of efficiency, composure or knowledge. Maintain and update our key databases across different platforms. Daily financial communication with subscribers. Weekly reporting for the CTO on subscriber numbers. Troubleshooting subscription queries with customers.

Administration duties reconciliation of subscription payment services across different platforms. Ordering provisions for Auckland and Wellington offices. Daily mail pick-up and postage. Social and customer event assistance. Overflow admin duties from the Office Manager.

Essentials customer service experience, either on the phone or in person. Clear, professional, warm telephone manner and verbal and written communication skills. Be self sufficient and have practical time management and prioritisation skills. An independent worker but know your limits, ask questions, and learn on the job.

Proficient computer skills. Experience working with Xero, Office 365 and Excel. Administration experience. Empathetic approach to different personality types. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail. A clean up to date driver’s license.
