Court Victim Advisor Ministry of Justice location Otago.

About the role this is a Dunedin based rol. The role is also subject to a J4 to J5 salary band increase. From working with children who are witnesses to liaising with whanau, you'll thrive in the diversity and challenge of contributing to our great team environment. You'll make an enormous difference to the victims through what you do. It'll be your job to provide advice on how their case is progressing and to help them participate effectively in the criminal justice process.

The role requires you to demonstrate resilience when it comes to working with people. A calm nature and an ability to relate to people. Enjoy the challenges and satisfaction of people who have been affected by crime.

Skills and experience to be successful in this role, you will be broadly experienced in advisory services

Your communication skills and understanding of legislative processes and reporting requirements will support your sound judgement. An excellent communicator able to work confidently and professionally in challenging circumstances where you can use high levels of autonomy and sound judgement consistently.
