Brand: QML Pathology, Location: 11 Riverview Place, Murarrie QLD 4172 (QML Pathology), Work type: Part Time (Permanent), Schedule: Thursday, Friday 9:30- 19:30 and Saturday 9:30-16:30 Sunday 9:30-19:30 following week Monday Tuesday and Wednesday 930-1930.

Your role as a Pathology Courier.As Pathology Courier, you will be responsible for the picking-up and transportation of Pathology Samples, Specimens, Blood/Blood Products X-rays, Vaccines and clinical waste, this could be across Medical Centres, Collection Centres, Nursing Homes, Hospitals, and Veterinarian Surgeries for delivery to Laboratories in various locations. You will be ensuring a safe and efficient process as you manage 30+ stops per day, playing a crucial part in providing quality health services to the people in our communities.

Your key responsibilities will include pick-up and delivery of Pathology Samples, Specimens, Blood/Blood Products X-rays, Vaccines and clinical waste to and from referring customers. Liaising between Referring Medical Practitioners and the Medical Liaison Officer with regards to store orders. Preparation and delivery of reports and stock control in main laboratory.

Maintaining patient confidentiality and integrity. Following operating procedure to complete correct specimen coding documentation. Compliance and adherence with Policies and Procedures, Work Health and Safety Procedures and Quality Assurance processes.

About you valid open Australian driver's license with an excellent driving record. Ability to work various shifts including rostered weekends and public holidays. Great interpersonal skills you will use to liaise with different stakeholders as well as strong written communication skills. Excellent time management skills, juggling up to 30 stops per day. Physical capability to be able to handle equipment weighing regularly up to 10kg -15kg.

The ability to follow instructions and use initiative to make sound decisions. Previous courier experience is considered highly advantageous. Hold a working with Children's Check or be willing to obtain one. You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with permission to work.
