Corporate Services Officer New Zealand Customs Service location Canterbury.

The New Zealand Customs Service is seeking a Corporate Services Officer to support the Corporate Services team based at the Christchurch Customhouse. This is a fixed term or secondment opportunity to 24 December 2021 and has arisen due to the extra support required by the business due to additional Maritime Border responsibilities. The Corporate Services team is part of the wider Finance, Technology and Infrastructure Group and is responsible for providing sustainable, efficient and effective corporate services within Customs.

Key responsibilities to this role will be purchasing goods and services, including obtaining quotes, purchase order preparation and good receipting. General motor vehicle fleet maintenance. Uniform ordering, issue and recording duties. Mail and courier distributions. Arranging building services repairs and maintenance. Security system maintenance and programming. Staff and visitor passes and security access cards issuing. General administrative tasks.

As a Corporate Services Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality services and administrative functions as required by Customs. Ideally you'll have previous experience in a customer-focused role where your professional attitude, calm manner and sound judgement, ensure quality standards are maintained.
