Staff Solutions Australia is the Japanese owned leading provider of HR /Recruitment Solutions looking for a Corporate Accountant in Sydney CBD. You will be working in a small team in the Sydney CBD but working for a massive global organsiation. You are responsible for preparing financial statements and overseing the budgeting and forecasting. They will rely on you to provide advice to support our company’s decision-making. We are looking for someone who can commit to work at one company for a long time. Responsibilities gather financial data and ledgers, consolidate and analyze financial statements and results, prepare budgets and monitor expenditures, handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings, manage periodical reporting, oversee external and internal audits, analyze finances to determine risks and create forecasts, advise management on how to craft effective business plans and resolve cost-related issues, prepare monthly/quarterly/annual vat returns and management accounts, prepare annual financial statements including statutory accounts. Requirements proven experience as a corporate accountant (must be 5+ years), excellent knowledge of local accounting regulations and practices, in-depth experience in risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting, proficient in ms office (especially excel) and finance software, an analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude, excellent communication skills, keen eye for detail, organizational and leadership skills, bsc/ba in accounting, finance or related field professional certification (e.g. cpa) is a plus, ability to work in a small team.
