As a Funeral Coordinator you will be responsible for assisting location and operations staff in the provision of funeral services to the local community. This role will offer you new life skills, personal growth and development and progress your career in a personally rewarding industry.
As a Funeral Coordinator you will coordinate funeral operations to InvoCare quality standards by:
Assessing ongoing daily work requirements and coordinating operational activities
Responding flexibly to match client needs with available resources and carry out Funeral Arrangers special requests and service innovations as instructed by client families
Preparing and monitoring documentation including staff rosters, daily work schedules, staff records, funeral documents and timesheets
Respond appropriately to requests, concerns, complaints and unforeseen circumstances
Ensure location staff deliver funeral services to InvoCare quality standards by:
>Coordinating and directing funeral teams to accurately follow instructions aligned to the funeral arrangements
>Monitoring workplace and operational issues
>Promoting funeral practices and InvoCare service delivery standards
About you:
Supervisory experience in a service-driven organisation or the ability to learn quickly
Current unrestricted driver’s license
Be at ease working with grieving families and the deceased
The ability to balance supervisory responsibilities and the need to work closely with management with funeral responsibilities and working with other staff
Plan, organise and conduct an event so that it runs smoothly within timelines
Strong customer service ethos and commitment to service delivery
Good attention to detail and the ability to follow direction
Sensitivity, along with a comfort to circumstances involving grieving people
In a fit state of physical and psychological health to be able to adequately perform manual handling, manage stress and carry out the inherent requirements of the position
