About the role our Contact Centre Representatives assist with the “000” equivalent of calls for animal emergencies. As a vital team member, you will work with a group of strong-minded staff and be a voice for animals experiencing cruelty and neglect.

This role is reserved only for candidates wishing to make a difference to animals big and small. Applicants must show capacity to be patient and empathic in handling distressing calls.

The successful candidate will be required to cover a 5-day set roster, including some public holidays.  The role will be 8.30am to 5.00pm on a 4 week rotating roster including alternate weekends. This role is remote/work from home and is available on a 6 month full-time contract basis.

Responsibilities dispatch Ambulances to pick up sick or injured animals. Lodge cruelty complaints and escalate urgent reports to the Inspectorate. Data entry; action online forms, emails and fax enquiries on a daily basis.

Direct calls and transfers to the relevant RSPCA departments. Liaise with RSPCA Shelter staff ensure effective communication of relevant matters. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety initiatives.

About you you will have the confidence to interact with both individuals and groups of all shapes and sizes and will possess strong time management and organisational skills. Plus experience in high volume customer service or contact centre environment.

High level of communication skills both written and verbal. Good problem-solving ability. Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously. Ability to work under pressure. Certificate II in Animal Handling or willingness to obtain certification. Strong Computer Literacy (Experience with data management and operating systems).
