Construction Project Coordinator Kainga Ora location Auckland. Salary $76,094 salary per annum + 5 weeks annual.

12 Months Fixed Term Opportunity based in Auckland. Construction - testing new Housing Delivery System. Salary $76,094 salary per annum + 5 weeks annual leave (pro rata).

Our role the Commercial Group manages Kāinga Ora's key commercial activities, provides strategic leadership and advice to other groups and works with the broader market to achieve system transformation. It contains our developer support team who provide financial underwrites to housing projects that meet defined criteria, our procurement and supplier management team who support our business groups to source materials and services, and our acquisitions and divestment teams.

Housing Delivery System (HDS) The Construction and Innovation (C&I) Group set up Project Velocity to develop and beta test a new Housing Delivery System (HDS) which explores faster delivery options. The programme to date has included all of the different parties involved in the pre-construction process working together in an integrated team. These parties come from both within and outside of Kāinga Ora and are responsible for achieving outcomes within the 'mini business units'. The Construction MBUs are being set up alongside Pre-Construction MBUs to manage HDS projects through construction phases.

The HDS participants will work quite differently to the rest of C&I. The team will be highly focused and deeply collaborative as they work together in the office during set hours, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday with no working from home. The team will be dedicated to producing consistent, reproducible, and scheduled results. The Project Coordinator will provide high level business support to the Workstream and required to carry out developmental work to assist the wider team in ongoing learning and growth.

What you will bring experienced in providing business support services to a diverse group of people who may have conflicting high pressure demands. Able to work independently and demonstrated ability to prioritise demands, organise, meet deadlines and deliver desired results using effective self and time management approaches.

Exposure to project management best practices and preferably knowledge of the construction industry. Experience working with project management and reporting software systems. Be capable of reading and interpreting building/development plans. Has effective and strong communication skills (verbal and written).
