Compliance Officer Orbus3 Pty Ltd location Brisbane.

Orbus3 is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 40761) and is one of the leading providers of quality training and assessment services to the Civil Construction industry in the ACT and Queensland. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Compliance Officer with over 5 years industry experience to join our team based in Caboolture.

Reporting to the CEO, the purpose of the role is to manage the RTO's compliance standards to a high and practical level across the business, and ensure the RTO is compliant in all aspects of its operation. This will require someone who is up for a challenge and able to manage change and want to make a difference. You will leverage your experience and knowledge to ensure the highest standards of compliance are met and adhered to.

Your responsibilities will include developing, initiating and revising policies and procedures for the general operation of the RTO’s compliance and funding requirements. Identifying areas of compliance vulnerability and risks associated by providing guidance to the management team.

Produce strategies and documentation to ensure a focus on continuous improvement and conduct regular internal audits to endorse ongoing compliance as well as recording all necessary documentation for relevant compliance bodies. Maintaining the RTO’s scope of registration and applying for scope extensions.

Managing and reporting on the RTO’s State funding contracts. Coordinating and reporting of Quality Indicator Data. Ensuring that all evidence of assessment is collected and is compliant with ASQA requirements. Developing and instituting comprehensive training and assessment strategies. Ensuring all programs developed meet the standards for RTO's contractual requirements.

Improving the RTO activities, programs and service delivery, ensuring that it remains current and underpins effective operations, and high levels of quality service. Managing the quality control of materials developed in line with scope; ensure registration of course, training and qualification materials on internal systems.

Managing and implementing systems to ensure compliance, continuous improvement and quality control. Assist the CEO and Administration team with the day to day functions of the RTO. Assess and implement regulatory and legislative changes for the RTO in conjunction with key stakeholders.

Essential criteria 5 years or more experience in RTO compliance. Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment an advantage. Extensive experience working with the vocational training and education sector. Demonstrated capacity to coordinate and manage an audit and compliance environment.

Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to understand and maintain audit and compliance systems. Knowledge in the design, implementation and maintenance of business systems. Proven customer service focused approach.

Well-developed consultation and negotiation skills and a demonstrated capacity to communicate policy, procedure and organisation needs. Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Proven experience and sound knowledge of a variety of software packages such as Microsoft Office, Adobe and Student Management System/s; preferably aXcelerate and Cloud Assess (desirable but not essential).

All our training and assessment is workplace based and undertaken using cloud based software systems so having a good understanding of technology would be a definite advantage. While we are a small team, we enjoy a big reputation for the standard of services we provide.
