Community Engagement Coordinator. Lifeline WA are pleased to announce a new and exciting opportunity of casual Community Engagement Coordinator to work with us and our partners to raise awareness of mental health supports and services in regional WA.

About lifeline wa Lifeline WA provides all Western Australians experiencing a personal crisis or thinking about suicide with access to 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services. Our 13 11 14 service is a national crisis support number, available every day of the year, from any location in Australia.

Lifeline WA believes that almost all suicides are preventable and that by connecting vulnerable people with crisis support, these people can be kept safe. Our vision is for a community free of suicide. Our purpose is to prevent suicide, support people in crisis and reduce the stigmas, which can be a barrier to people seeking help.

About the role Lifeline WA and partners are committed to reducing stigma and raising awareness about mental health supports and services in regional communities. This exciting role will involve collaborating with our partners, community organisations, community members, mental health professionals and local government to coordinate wellbeing promotional activities throughout rural WA.

The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for the following contribute to the development and review of community engagement processes to support efficient delivery. Ensure community engagement targets are met in accordance with the relevant Partnership Agreement deadlines and budgets.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and communities. Coordinate with internal staff, partners and vendors to establish the requirements for an event, and serve as the liaison to community leaders and industry members throughout the planning process.

Plan and facilitate logistics for all events, tasks include build and maintain a comprehensive database of industry contacts, vendors and venues. Attend community engagements in person, flexibility to travel when required is essential .

The Successful candidate will have Qualifications in Event Management or Community Development (Desirable). Demonstrated events management skills and experience in community engagement. Experience in a coordinator role, with a proven ability to develop and deliver communication and engagement strategies in remote communities.

High level of communication skills and able to communicate effectively and engage with relevant organisations and community members. Well-developed computer literacy skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office and Salesforce. Independent worker, with the ability to take ownership of and drive initiatives and stakeholder experience.

Confidence in public speaker (Desirable). Flexibility to travel to regional WA when required. Flexibility in working hours, this is a casual position and the hours are anticipated to fluctuate significantly each week.
