Community Development Manager Kainga Ora location Auckland. $120,914 salary, 5 weeks' annual leave + insurance.

2 x full time, permanent roles in Auckland North/West and Counties Manukau, at $120,914 salary + 5 weeks' annual leave + free insurances. Our role the Community Development Manager plays a key role in the property development process, facilitating and promoting strong, sustainable communities with a sense of place and belonging for our customers.

Kāinga Ora construction sites are supported by community development initiatives to help smooth the transition before, during and after completion. These initiatives are designed to encourage a sense of community, acceptance and integration, promote being a good neighbour and build partnerships with the community, people and organisations.

The Community Development Manager provides development management support to the Place-based group and regions. This role will focus on the community development initiatives as part of the build programme in view of protecting the long term social and asset value of our developments.

What you will bring you'll have a wealth of experience in a community development role, with extensive experience in best practice engagement. An understanding of, or familiarity with, Asset-Based Community Development is highly desirable.

You'll be adept at working in diverse communities with a wide variety of stakeholders, balancing professionalism with a friendly, approachable and trustworthy manner when partnering with our tenants and the community.

Naturally, you'll have exceptional interpersonal, communication and networking skills, coupled with confidence in public speaking and presenting to internal and external stakeholders. As this role requires travelling around the local area and community (you will have access to a company vehicle), a full NZ driver's license is required. Due to the nature of community engagement work, flexibility is also required including some evening and weekend work.
