Our role this role supports community engagement in our development areas, and applies a community development approach in all our projects. You'll get to know the communities in this area closely, working with local networks and organisations to ensure that redevelopment furthers community aspirations and brings about positive change.
The face of Kāinga Ora in the community, you'll also be instrumental in building capacity and capability within the community to lead development initiatives. This role will see you being involved and working in our Large Scale Project in Oranga, as well as support across other key locations where required.
What you will bring a relevant tertiary qualification is desirable, along with minimum 5 years' experience in community engagement and/or community development. Excellent relationship management skills across a diverse range of stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with a strategic and growth mindset. A relevant professional certification, such as IAP2, would be advantageous.
