Communications Advisor Red Consulting Group location Auckland. $29 per hour + parking.

Our client is New Zealand's largest privately owned processor of recyclable materials. Reclaim has been operated since 1974 by the same owners that identified the potential of diverting valuable materials from landfill. Starting out with paper and cardboard and expanding to all main recycling streams, Reclaim services clients nationally with plants out of Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch.

2024 is going to be a BIG year for Reclaim – they’re tuning 50. They have significant celebrations and events planned and this is the reason they need to bring a talented Communications Advisor into the team to assist for 12 months.

This role will report to the General Manager Sales (who is amazing, just like the rest of the staff) and will assist in creating and managing all communication channels for Reclaim.   It will focus on implementing the communications plan, managing communication tools and proactively promoting Reclaim as the experts in high volume commercial waste recycling and the diversion from landfill through comms channels, social media, events and website / web search.

To secure this role you will need previous NZ work experience gained in a similar styled role including experience in delivering events and activations.  You could be a more experienced Comms professional or be at the earlier stages of your career. This opportunity might work perfectly for someone combining studying with regular part time work.  In any case, you’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to create content that is engaging, with high impact and across a range of topics and channels.

You’ll be familiar with CRM, the Adobe Creative Suite, Meta and other social media. You’ll be working in a fast-paced, energetic work environment so this role will perfectly suit someone who enjoys making an impact and collaborating with a wide range of people. This is an office based position, located at Reclaim’s head office in Station Road, Penrose. Parking is provided. Your 20 hours per week could be spread across each of the business days, or three days full time or in some other format incorporating normal working hours.
