About the role we currently have a great opportunity for an experienced Leasing Manager in our Canberra offices. This role will manage the provision of commercial leasing management for our major clients.  Reporting to the Client Relationship Manager, this role will develop sound working relationships with key client staff and manage the day-to-day client activities for the assigned properties.

Key responsibilities will include manage a required portfolio within the client’s portfolio to meet and exceed all requirements of the contract. Negotiate New Leases, Lease Renewals, Options and Market Rent Reviews ensuring the best possible outcome is achieved for the client. Prepare business cases for relevant leasing transactions. Maintain accurate records on Leasing related services and activities and provide accurate reports and follow agreed procedures and processes. Undertake market sweeps and searches as required.

Manage day to day leasing related tasks, assists the broader team and the client regarding leasing related queries. Interpret lease documents and provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders. Ensure that you operate under the responsibilities and limits of authorities as nominated within the Property Management Service Agreement and the PGPA & LAA Act. Liaise with solicitors to have Lease documents prepared and executed in terms of approvals. Liaise with clients and their consultants daily to ensure key requirements are met.

Proactively develop and manage the relationship with the client to ensure service delivery expectations are exceeded. Organise and attend regular meetings relating to your portfolio and including key event dates. Prepare reports in accordance with the contract requirements and any ad hoc requests. Undertake Property Inspections where required. Provide guidance and support to Property and Lease Administrators. Actively encourage an environment that supports teamwork, cooperation, performance excellence and personal success.

About you we are seeking a motivated self-starter with a proven track record of successfully delivering best practice and quality to their clients who thrives building relationships with clients, their team and the wider organisation.

Proactive with a keen eye for detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities, while possessing a can-do attitude; our ideal candidate will have the following experience previous experience within a transaction or leasing related field.

Good understanding of Commonwealth Policies including the PGPA and LAA Act. Tertiary qualification in a Property, Business or relevant commensurate experience. Strong communicator – Good presentation skills and possesses strong verbal communication skills.
