About the role
We are looking for a Commercial Analyst to join our team, on a permanent, full-time basis.
The Commercial Analyst supports Elders Rural Services’ Retail Products business by delivering operational finance, analytics, and systems expertise. You’ll provide insights to drive commercial decision-making, oversee procure-to-pay processes for imported products, and ensure accurate reporting and data integrity across the network. This role is pivotal in supporting business performance, inventory management, and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
Analyse financial performance indicators including inventory, revenue, expenses, and profitability to support strategic decisions.
Monitor and manage inventory data, stockturns, ageing trends, and product master data integrity.
Develop, maintain, and improve reporting tools, dashboards, and financial models to provide actionable insights.
Lead initiatives to optimise working capital and align inventory management with broader business objectives.
Provide financial and operational support to internal teams and branch network stakeholders.
Ensure continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making across Retail Products operations.
Maintain accurate and standardised product and procurement master data.
Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and organisational policies.
About you
Proven experience in financial and commercial analysis, inventory management, and reporting.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and other analytics/financial modelling tools.
Strong experience working with ERP systems, retail master data, and inventory tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging cross-functional teams.
Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
Highly organised with strong time management skills and ability to prioritise competing tasks.
Motivated team player with a culture of continuous improvement.
Experience in a sales organisation and/or agricultural environment is highly regarded.
