Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) Mental Health Services deliver specialist hospital and community care for people experiencing severe or complex mental illness. Services include inpatient treatment at Wagga Wagga Base Hosptial and community mental health services across six regional centres, with programs spanning child and adolescent, youth, adult, older person and perinatal.

About the role
The CNCs are responsible for leading and modelling the delivery of complex specialist mental health emergency nursing care and the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery to provide effective quality care for consumers presenting to EDs. under the domains of Clinical Service and Consultancy, Clinical Leadership, Research, Education and Clinical Services Planning. The CNC 2 will develop capacity for the safe and effective management of consumers presenting to EDs with mental distress.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

Current Authority to Practice as an RN with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) together with at least 5 years, experience in acute mental health nursing and holding or working towards post graduate nursing qualifications in Mental Health.
Current Australian working rights
NSW Working with children check.
