About Wingspan The Wingspan Trust is a respected 131-year-old social services organisation dedicated to providing professional and affordable counselling services, therapy and advocacy to individuals, couples, and whānau/families across Tāmaki Makaurau helping them navigate life’s tough situations.
Wingspan has recently implemented a number of transformational changes: a new brand supported by a positioning strategy relevant to Wingspan’s social services niche; changes to its governance structure and a team that has embraced and welcomed these changes.
About the role as the Clinical and Operations Leader at Wingspan Trust, you will oversee our counselling teams (15 people) across two locations, fostering collaboration and standardisation while streamlining operations to ensure best clinical practices and adherence to the NZAC code of ethics.
Reporting to the Chief Executive and as a key member of the senior executive team, you will play a crucial role in the continuous improvement and growth of Wingspan's clinical services. Your strong clinical background will be essential as you navigate complex client scenarios and engage with stakeholders, developing and maintaining key relationships. With the support and guidance of the Chief Executive and the wider organisation, you will have the opportunity to enhance your leadership skills and foster your personal and professional growth.
Initially, your focus will be on reviewing and implementing necessary changes to service delivery, leveraging your clinical expertise to inspire and support others throughout this process. You will also mentor counsellors, equipping them with the tools, guidance, and learning opportunities to excel.
About you, we are seeking a counsellor, psychologist or psychotherapist with substantial clinical experience who is eager to advance their career. In addition to your extensive clinical background, a strong understanding of the NZAC code of ethics is essential for this role.
Your clinical expertise and ability to align operations and policies will be pivotal to your success. Coupled with a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement, you will play a key role in driving new service offerings and enhancing Wingspan’s organisational profile.
You will possess strong organisational skills and a desire to develop your leadership capabilities, with experience collaborating alongside other senior leaders and managing diverse teams.
