About us Animal Emergency Australia provides high standard afterhours emergency vet care across multiple hospitals in Queensland, Tasmania and Perth. AES Tanawha operates 24 hours on weekends and public holidays, 365 days per year. Clients don’t often anticipate needing emergency veterinary care and we aim to support them by providing a high quality and compassionate service for their pet or wildlife emergencies.

The job the Client Care team members are responsible for ensuring our clients and their pets have the best experience possible whilst in AES care and help improve our processes and procedures where possible. We are a team of thoughtful and considerate members who show empathy and compassion in a multitude of situations. We greet everyone with a smile on our face and kindness in our hearts, regardless of the emergencies that are occurring behind closed doors. Due to practice growth, we are looking for Client Care team members who can accommodate morning discharge hours from 6am -10am and nightshift between 4pm to midnight. The location our Sunshine Coast practice is located in Tanawha.

All About you a minimum of 4  years’ experience in a similar client service role. Experience with animals is preferred, but not essential. Demonstrated experience in problem solving and a desire to reach suitable solutions for clients and the business. Demonstrated experience in creating a memorable, warm and professional atmosphere for clients.

Demonstrated ability to create client rapport in a short period of time, utilising emotional intelligence and empathy. Displays an extraverted and warm personality that loves engaging and building positive relationships with people and animals. Thrives in an unplanned (emergency) work environment, whilst maintaining a calm and polite demeanour. A level of excellence in phone communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, outlook and PowerPoint. Able to multi-task with competing priorities.

Key responsibilities liaising with, and continually going above and beyond to ensure our clients and their pets experience exceptional client service. Collaborating with AES team members regarding updates, pet’s needs and finance information. Providing clients with updates on their pets and answer queries. Assisting clients with finance and insurance claims and queries. Completing a range of administrative functions including data entry, handling phone queries and finance processing. Assisting with patient handling.
