Clerk The Royal Women's Hospital location Melbourne.

Ongoing position inpatient and Outpatient including Gynae/oncology, Gestational Trophoblastic Disease and Dysplasia Services. The Royal Women’s Hospital is Australia’s first and largest specialist hospital dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of newborns and women of all ages.

As an Administrative Officer, the responsibilitie involve providing patient administration services to the department and will assist in maintaining a high level of customer service to external and internal stakeholders. This role requires a high degree of immediacy with response to questions and requests. The role will work very closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Working within the hospital environment requires the understanding of, and compliance with, the need for strict confidentiality. This position requires high quality data entry and general administrative duties to ensure efficient and effective service operational requirements. The role will also work closely with the other admin officers on the department providing additional support to the department.

To be successful in this role, you need demonstrated experience working in a health care setting. Experience with customer service and across a multidisciplinary team. High level communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels. Proven ability to adapt to  change and new ways of working.

Experience using Microsoft Suite, relational data base, email and the internet. Understanding of and commitment to, the organisation’s strategic direction. Desirable criteria experience working with women from diverse cultural backgrounds is preferred. Working knowledge of iPM and Epic (or another EMR equivalent).
