A commercially savvy feminist CEO is sought by the International Women’s Development Agency (‘IWDA’), an Australian based Not For Profit organisation focused on contributing to global feminist movements to advance the vision of gender equality for all. This is achieved via partnering with a diverse range of women’s rights organisations, primarily in Asia and the Pacific, and contributing to global feminist movements.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to make a positive and tangible difference in the lives of women and girls, in all their diversity, across Australia and the Asia Pacific Region. IWDA is a unique organisation with strong government, commercial and philanthropic connections.

The CEO would need to be available to travel to meet with partners across the Asia Pacific Region and attend global events that help to advance the IWDA vision and purpose, whilst adhering to the IWDA values.

IWDA is poised for strong growth and is looking for a commercially astute, dynamic and energetic CEO to drive organisational growth and fulfill the IWDA vision, and achieve IWDA goals, on a global stage.

Key responsibilities include organisational Strategy and Leadership. Advocacy and Representation, including national and international travel to meet with partners & potential funders. Resource Mobilisation - Oversee fundraising efforts, including grant applications, donor relationships, and revenue diversification.

Organisational Culture, Team Building and Management. Program Development and Impact. Engaging with a supportive and empowering Board. Public Relations and Communications. Legal and Compliance.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep commitment to feminist principles and social justice and be able to demonstrate leadership experience (NFP experience desirable, but not essential). Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving & change leadership skills. The ability to quickly adapt and learn from failure.

Ability to challenge the status quo. Experience in building and leading diverse, high-performing teams. Knowledge of gender-related issues and priorities. Financial management capabilities.

Partnership building with a deep commitment to advancing collaborative approaches and movement strengthening. Ability to confidently manage and navigate diverse constituencies, complex politics and relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
