Responsibilities and duties read and understand drawings to identify the plating requirement/ location. Fabricate fixtures, jigs and tooling as per the drawing/ part requirement. Perform cleaning, degreasing on metal parts. Perform masking and blasting on metal parts. Perform chrome tank setup and chrome plating. Perform demasking, cleaning and preserving of chrome plated parts. Ensure all processes are recorded and documented. Perform plating thickness measurement. Report any defects, issues to the supervisor. Ensure plating tanks are maintained as per work instructions.

Top up chemicals, blast mediums and carry out required daily maintenance as per check list on tanks and equipment. Ensure work place cleanliness and responsible for chrome waste disposal in accordance with company’s safety protocol. Perform chemical and material handling when needed. Perform other assignments and duties as required. Understand and aware of the impact of each activities to the company and environment. Follow safe work practices and procedures. Ensure HS&E policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Qualifications or Experiences NTC certificate or equivalent in fabrication/ tooling and/or 2 years related working experiences in an electro-plating industry. Working experience in an electro-plating company is an advantage. Ability to do simple welding, bending and sheet metal work. Ability to understand and follow instructions from supervisor. Ability to handle chemicals with utmost care. Able to work overtime and rotating shift when required.
