CFW Receptionist The Centre for Women and Co location Brisbane. $30 – $31 per hour.

The Centre for Women & Co. exists to deliver responsive, high quality and holistic women's services to the Logan and Redland Regions, delivering domestic and family violence and women’s health and wellbeing support services.

The role the Receptionist is responsible for the provision of the necessary base administrative support to the CEO (Chief Executive Officer), COO (Chief Operating Officer) and HQ team members of The Centre for Women & Co. and to manage the reception duties and central phone call coordination for the whole of the organisation.

The Receptionist is primarily accountable to the CEO, however given the collaborative nature of the organisation, all team members are also accountable to the overall team.  The Receptionist will be required to undertake a level of organisational, facilities management, call coordination and administrative work in addition to the direct service delivery functions of the position. Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 Level 2.1 - Full time (76 hours per fortnight).

Key responsibilities the Receptionist will handle the flow of phone call through The Centre for Women & Co. and ensure that all receptionist responsibilities are completed accurately and delivered in high quality and in a timely manner.

Monitoring calendar movements for all team on site, identifying incoming visitors and prepare necessary meeting requirements (i.e., water, clean area/space, agendas, catering, or relevant paperwork if needed and asking staff what they may need). Performing other clerical receptionist duties such as typing documents, taking minutes, filing, photocopying, collating, archiving, supporting the team where possible etc.

Maintaining security by following procedures and controlling access (ensure visitors sign in and out).   Obtaining quotes and overseeing the maintenance, repairs and product purchases for the HQ team, office facility and equipment. Ensuring the HQ site has appropriate supplies of milk, cleaning products etc. and everything is well stocked. Shop for general items when required, i.e., cleaning products, coffee/tea, toilet paper etc.

Maintaining cleanliness and cleaning roster to ensure kitchens & bathrooms are tidy.   Handling of mail processing (recording and distribution). Oversee and organise the purchase of all stationery and office supplies. Support the CEO and HQ team in day-to-day activities as required.

Selection criteria (mandatory to address in application) at least two years of experience in the provision of receptionist and administration work. Ability to work in a community-based organisation, to participate in a team in a collaborative and supportive manner, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.

Demonstrated skills in administrative assistance tasks and the ability to prioritise work.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders. Sound organisational, analytical and time management skills.

Excellent written and oral skills, including demonstrated ability to write and present clearly and concisely for other professionals and clients.
