Description

Our client is nestled in the heart of Te Atatu Peninsula looking after the vibrant and diverse local community. The centre is licenced for up to 63 children aged 0 - 6 years old and dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive environment where all children and families feel included. This centre has been recognised by the Ministry of Education as the top 7% of NZ’s ECE’s providing positive learning outcomes for children.

As a centre manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our early childhood centre and ensuring the highest quality of care and education for young children. The ideal candidate will have minimum two years experience as a centre manager and must have a good understanding of New Zealand ECE Curriculum and demonstrate a willingness to grow in their role.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership: Provide strong leadership to our team of educators, creating a collaborative and supportive work culture.
Curriculum Development: Work with educators to develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with New Zealand's Early Childhood Education Curriculum, Te Whāriki.
Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise teaching staff, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
Parent and Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and the local community.
Compliance: Ensure the centre operates in compliance with all relevant licensing and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:

A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education (preferred) or a recognised qualification in Primary.
Ideally 2 years + of experience in a leadership role within an early childhood education setting.
Strong knowledge of New Zealand's early childhood education regulations and curriculum.
