Fixed-term to October 2025, full time, part-time, or job-share options considered. The Motueka Catchment Collective has recently received funding for a 3 year period to focus on improving freshwater and building capability in the Motueka Catchment. The Collective is now recruiting a Catchment Coordinator to oversee the delivery of a community driven programme to protect and enhance the health of the river and the connected environment.
Under the guidance of the Motueka Catchment Collective Steering Group (MCCSG) the coordinator will work with landowners, sub-catchment groups, and thematic working groups to promote the well-being of the freshwater system.
Our ideal applicant will have passion and commitment for the Motueka Catchment. You will have previous project leadership experience, be a natural strategic big-picture thinker, and you will be a strong communicator and relationship developer. A good understanding of sustainable land and water management issues and experience with practical cost effective solutions is important. And you will be a highly motivated self-starter, excited by the opportunity to grow a new community led initiative. This job includes a combination of office related tasks and being out in the field.
