About the role Police Calibration Services (PCS) is looking for someone to join the team based at 32 Glover Street, Ngauranga, Wellington. You will be working with a high performing, energetic and supportive team in a high trust environment; supporting operational staff who use our speed enforcement equipment.

A typical day might involve liaising with District staff and external partners / contractor's on a range of issues from certificates of accuracy, advice on specialist Road Policing equipment and courier item handling. The job involves data entry in Microsoft TM Access of certificates of accuracy and providing copies of the same to staff when requested. It involves managing the 'alcohol database' from issuing new alcohol equipment, managing existing equipment and providing statistical information to Road Policing Analyst. You will also be providing professional database management and administrative support for the Manager: Calibration Services and other members of the Calibrations Team.

Key accountabilities ensuring equipment and personnel databases are kept up to date, error free and backed up. Completing statistical analysis of data from the Access database when necessary. Maintaining accurate records of all alcohol equipment, locations, calibration dates and recalls for calibration. This includes keeping 2 separate systems up to date to ensure accuracy.

Completing regular audits of equipment to ensure effective use and reduce loss. Contacting districts when important and relevant information needs to be disseminated. Deploys with Calibration Technicians when required for operational testing exercises or district equipment calibration, in the field

Taking meeting minutes demonstrate ability to identify risks, trends and opportunities through interaction with district and calibration staff. Demonstrate extremely accurate attention to detail in all aspects of duties -to ensure Service Level Agreements are adhered to and lab ISO accreditation standards are upheld.
